Amendment 28
The chance to become a citizen… if you have a clean record living here within the past 5 years with exceptions …
reasons for
Many people are wanting to come to us to have a better life one of that reasons is that you would have more rights like the right to vote, apply for federal employment, run for elected office, obtain a U.S. passport, and not be denied re-entry into this country. there are many other ways why people want to become a citizen whether it is to protect a family member or just so you can be safe.
possible arguments against
"people in the country illegally are criminals"
Immigrants increase economic inequality.”
RESPONSEs to the ARGUMENTS
The state of Texas actually recorded arrests and convictions for specific crimes in 2015 they found that For all but four crimes that accounted for 0.18 percent of all criminal convictions in Texas in 2015, there were fewer convictions against illegal immigrants than against natives. The year 2016 shows even lower criminal conviction rates for illegal immigrants relative to natives in Texas.
some research finds relatively small effects by coming to the United States, immigrant barely affects the wages of native‐born Americans here, and increases economic inequality as a result. The standard of living is much more important than the earnings distribution and everybody in this situation either wins or is unaffected.
story of IMMIGRATION by kenia
There one was a family that lived in mexico they were poor but they never compiled about what they had the husband of the family would go to the U.S. in order to provide for the family, one day they were decided about going to the U.S to have freedom and so they could have a better life for the kid that they had so they had to corse the bored.at only 1 ½ year old kenia liberato and her family were crossing the border so they could live a better life there were some struggles along the way now knowing how to live in another country where you didn't know the language if you know where you were going to eat but in the end little by little they started to know how to live in the us soon after they had more kid and as time passes the husband/ dads where trying to become citizens in order for them to have right to have the right into saying in the us as time when on they were able to become citizens and have more right but now there was another problem kenia was not a citizen so her parent applied for her to become a citizen she ended up getting her citizenship and in the process they wanted the woman in the family to have rights too they women ended up having to stay in mexico for over more than a year so they could have that freedom that they alway wanted thank fully almost all of the liberato family now has there papers and they are happy that they could get those papers so they can live a better life. this is my story about Immigrants and what my family had been through.
